Be My Guest: {Competition} Styled engagement shoot

Anthea & Adriaan - Stanford | Overberg

{Be my Guest} Events recently launched an engagement shoot competition through Facebook. The response was phenomenal from the wonderful sponsors to the beautiful couples who entered. I was privileged to have worked with a handful of my favourite vendors. The experience was so much fun for everyone involved including our winning couple, Anthea and Adriaan.

We were blessed with perfect weather and the most gorgeous day out in Stanford, Western Cape at the magnificent Mosaic Sanctuary. Behind the lens was Kobus from Dreampix photography creating his magic and Yolanda from Lily Blush was behind her make-up wand enhancing Anthea’s amazing facial features. But I have to say we were all in awe by Yolanda’s hair creation, because Anthea has the longest blonde hair I have ever seen! The soft loose curls added volumes to the photos and were perfect for my styled picnic scene under the canopy of ancient Milkwood trees.

We couldn’t stop there, so we went all out with a more formal scene in the 1892 Spookhuis library. Stacey and Justin from Blooming Wonderful created a beautiful table with accents of gold, black succulents and white lace. Lance from Special Occasions made sure our Anthea is fit for the occasion with a black corset dress and black bird cage veil. Yolanda completed the picture by adding ruby red lips and an up do for Anthea’s final look. Adriaan cleaned up nicely with a formal white shirt and black collar and black suit trousers. They are not just picture-perfect people; they are also a charismatic couple and wish them all God’s blessings in their journey together.

The outcome of our competition was a huge success, but all the praise must go to the amazing people who made this possible, our sponsors!
